I'm Kristi Porter, founder of Signify, and I created this business to support cause-focused organizations. I mostly help small nonprofits and social enterprises with their marketing and communications through copywriting and consulting. If you're like a lot of my other clients, you don't have a staffer dedicated to these kinds of things, so I'm someone who can step in and lend a hand as needed. You don't have to pay my taxes, my health insurance, or even find me a desk! (And I won't steal the pens either.)

Why call my newsletter "Special Features?" I'm a huge fan of movies and TV. And when I watch my favorite films and shows, I like to make them last just a little bit longer through the "special features." Those are the fun bonuses like commentaries, behind-the-scenes, gag reels, and deleted scenes. 

I'm a total geek, so I'm one of those people who actually tries to watch all of these extras, at least for my favs. In fact, I've seen the Lord of the Rings Trilogy special features multiple times—and they're like 40 hours long! #nerd

But this isn't just a gimmick.
